Damage Waiver Scheme
The Damage Deposit Waiver Scheme was introduced several years ago as an optional alternative to the standard damage deposit. Because of its popularity, we have decided to standardise on the waiver scheme. This means that for a once and for all non-refundable payment of £45.00, you will be covered in the event of any damage/loss or accident to your boat or its inventory during your holiday. This will be included in the final invoice sent to you.
Special Exclusions to Damage Waiver
1. Speeding (reported or witnessed).
2. Malicious, negligent or intentional damage to the boat, its equipment, the waterway, other boats or structures.
3. Damage to rudder or skeg, due to cill damage in locks.
4. Return of boat in an unclean condition.
In the case of any of the above being reported, we shall claim the full cost of repairs, replacement or compensation.

For practical and safety reasons boating holidays may be unsuitable for people with certain disabilities. Cancellation Protection Scheme
IMPORTANT INFORMATION, PLEASE DO READ
When completing your Marine Cruises booking, you will naturally be looking forward to a relaxing and carefree holiday. Unhappily, unforeseen circumstances can sometimes intervene and so we assume you will wish to join the Marine Cruises CANCELLATION PROTECTION SCHEME.
Once you have paid a deposit and it has been confirmed by Marine Cruises a contract exists which renders you liable for the whole of the hire charge even if you are prevented from taking your holiday.
Marine Cruises has therefore arranged this Protection which in return for a small premium gives you the right under the qualifying circumstances detailed below to cancel your holiday at any time before you are due to start. In this event you will be absolved of all liability under the conditions of hire for any balance of charges due, and if part or all of such charges have already been paid, they will be refunded.
Qualifying Circumstances
1. Death, injury, illness or pregnancy (certified in all cases by a qualified medical practitioner), jury service or witness call of any member of the party listed on the booking form at the time of booking.
2. Death, injury or illness (certified in all cases by a qualified medical practitioner) of the spouse, parent, step-parent, brother, sister, children, step-children, parent-in-law or fiance of the hirer or any member of the party.
3. Redundancy of the hirer, providing that the hirer qualifies for payment under the Redundancy Payment Act 1965.
Note: This scheme only covers full cancellation. It does not cover a partial refund. If you choose NOT to join this protection scheme and you subsequently have to cancel your holiday, YOU WILL BE LIABLE TO PAY THE WHOLE OF THE HIRE FEE unless we can re-let the boat in which case we will levy a 15% of re-letting charge.
Warranty
The scheme is subject to a warranty at the time of completing the proposal, that each proposer and each person on whose state of health the journey depends is in good health, free from physical or mental defect and is not subject to any chronic or recurring illness, nor is under treatment of any kind.
